why we exist
Hollywood isn’t just out of touch — it’s collapsing.
Outsourced, algorithm-driven, morally and creatively bankrupt, the traditional system is making itself irrelevant to the next wave of filmmakers and storytellers.
But that’s not bad news. It’s a turning point.
We believe the future of film, story, and visual media belongs to independent creators — those who build their own sets, fund their own visions, and create without permission.
Black Bay exists because we’re done waiting.
We’re building from the ground up — with real terrain, real tools, and a growing team of artists, tacticians, and visionaries who want something more.
What We Do
Black Bay Art Dept is the creative production arm and evolving facility within the Sons of Sam Houston ecosystem — but it’s also becoming something more.
We’re building a real-world creative space on 17 acres of private land in East Texas — a place where filmmakers, reenactors, photographers, and creators of all kinds can bring their own teams, their own projects, and make something real.
We still produce our own cinematic content — short films, tactical media, experimental visuals, and story-driven pieces rooted in realism, myth, and emotion — but Black Bay is also growing into a space for others to create, not just watch.
Our goal is simple: create with impact.

Our Sister Studio — Patriart Studios
Patriart Studios is the design and digital creation division of the SOSH brand. It handles the visual foundation behind every project — from concept art and digital sculpting to merch design, illustration, and visual effects.
While Black Bay builds and shoots, Patriart creates the visuals that power the world — designing the symbols, assets, and digital elements that fuel our films, gear, and story.
From screen to scene, every frame starts with art.

Black Bay is still in active development — but the mission has already begun.
We’re not offering studio rentals yet, but we’re opening the doors to filmmakers, builders, designers, and storytellers who believe in this vision and want to be part of it early.
